Happy week-of-Thanksgiving! I’m working on some super fun posts to share with you all in the next few weeks! In the meantime, I wanted to tell y’all about this DELICIOUS brunch Oakley and I had on Sunday morning!
Have you heard of Snooze, an A.M. Eatery? There are a few locations scattered across the country in California, Arizona, Colorado, and Texas. A Houston location opened up a few months ago and Oakley and I kept hearing about how we needed to try it out. Well, our friends weren’t lying – it was insanely delicious!!!!!
We arrived a little after 9:00 am and there were already a bunch of people waiting outside, obviously a good sign! When we put our names on the list, we were told it would be a 45-50 minute wait. While we waited, we ordered coffees to sip on – I got a latte and LOVED it! Oakley had a cappuccino and said it was really good as well.
After almost exactly 45 minutes, we were seated. Our waiter, Spoons, was awesome (Can we talk about what a fun name Spoons is?!)! First, we each ordered a mimosa. Oakley had the original and I had the Mmm Mmm Mimosa (a regular mimosa with pomegranate liqueur).
[“Take a funny picture with the silverware!”]
[Did I mention that the mimosas are made with FRESH orange juice?!]
What is brunch without pancakes? One of the dishes that Snooze is well known for is its Pancake Flight. You get to pick three pancakes out of about five different options. Let me tell you, this is not an easy choice because allll of the pancakes look good! Oakley and I decided we would split the Pancake Flight (The three pancakes we picked were Pineapple Upside Down, Smashin’ Pumpkin, and Blueberry Danish) and the Snooze Spuds Deluxe, hash browns covered in shredded cheese, scallions, and two eggs.
Everything was so, so, so delicious! I don’t even have words. First of all, the pancakes were absolutely perfect – fluffy on the inside, a little crispy on the outside, and totally full of flavor! And the Snooze Spuds Deluxe…whoever invented this meal is a true hero to me!!
[We will 100% order the Pancake Flight next time we’re at Snooze!]
[Everything about this dish is so darn good!]
If you live in Houston or are ever in the area, please do me a favor and treat yourself to brunch at Snooze. I promise you it’s worth the 45 minute wait!
Lots of love – ked
