what to wear to a non-costume halloween party
I’ve always LOVED Halloween! In my mind, it’s the beginning of all things fall – fall outfits, cool weather, and pumpkin flavored everything!
When I was in college, Halloween was one of my favorite holidays! I always had so much fun picking out outfits, dressing up with my friends, and going to Halloween parties! I was going to post a pic from college, but I couldn’t find any good ones 🙁 Womp womp!
This year, my mom and I are hosting a Halloween party! It’s not a costume party, but I still wanted to have a festive fall outfit. While I was debating over different outfits to wear to our party, I thought it would be fun to post some of my options!
You can’t go wrong with this casual, yet classic look – a flannel, rolled jeans, and booties. I love this outfit because it’s so versatile! If the Halloween party you’re attending involves watching scary movies, eating popcorn, and drinking wine, this is the perfect outfit! On the other hand, if you’re going to an outdoors cookout with delicious food and way too many sweets, this is also the perfect look for you! My flannel and booties are both from T.J. Maxx and my jeans are Joe’s Jeans.
If you’re wanting to dress it up a little more, this is the combo for you – a fall colored shirt, black jeggings, and riding boots. Of course, don’t forget to add the layers – a vest, scarf, or light jacket would be perfect! This is a great fall outfit for a non-costume Halloween party or Halloween dinner and drinks with your friends. Also, you can’t beat the comfort of a good pair of jeggings! My shirt is from Loft, jeggings from Joe’s Jeans, vest from Willa, and boots from Tory Burch.
Black on black is always in style! Why not rock it to this year’s Halloween party?! The best part of this outfit is you probably already have it in your closest! If you read fall outfits that are already in your closet, then you know I’m a fan of utilizing pieces I already have. This look doesn’t have to be done with a dress either – black pants, a black shirt, and black shoes do the trick (or treat?!) too! My dress is from T.J. Maxx, and booties are Vince Camuto.
What are you wearing this Halloween!?
Also…BIG thanks to my awesome, fashionable, and supportive mumsie for helping me put this post together!!
[Cheers to the best mom ever! And thanks to Hawk’s Shadow for our wine glasses!]
Lots of love – ked
