who run the world? girls!

Is it just me or is August flying by?! I’m counting down the days until our big trip to Italy – it feels so close, yet so far away! I can’t contain my excitement!

This weekend was jam packed with girl-time and I loved it!! On Saturday, I had brunch with my good friend, Allie, who I met in my past life working at Chick-fil-A. We wanted to take advantage of Houston Restaurant Weeks 2016, a fundraiser in which participating restaurants make donations to the Houston Food Bank based on how many meals they sell during the event. After scrolling through the HRW restaurants that offered brunch and doing a good amount of Yelp-ing (who doesn’t?!), we decided to go to The Grove, located in downtown.

To start, I ordered the deviled eggs (good, not great) and for the entree, I had the local catch tacos with a side of creamed corn (very good, though they skimped a little on the quantity of fish). We both drank a white sangria and it was yum-yum-yummy! Our server told us that on Sundays they have $12 bottomless mimosas, so I will definitely be returning soon – next time with Oakley! Sunday-funday anyone?!

[Love me some Allie!]

Later that day, we went to an engagement party for Kristyn and Steven. I’m SO mad at myself for not getting a picture with them (rookie blogging move, I know), but I did get a few with these awesome ladies!

[Abbey, Catherine, me, and Megan – it was a fiesta themed party…hence the cactus.]

[Selfie game on point!]

On Sunday, Meegs and I went shopping and had a ball! We found things we didn’t even know we needed – who would have thunk?

[Look at this super cute necklace from The Accessory Place! It’s actually a real clock!]

TOTALLY changing the subject here, but I have to get y’all excited for my next post. It has a little to do with these cuties…
